good evening and welcome to this meeting of Wandsworth Executive first, are there any declarations of interest?
Councillor O'Connor, and, like I'd like to declare an interest in the voluntary sector, needs assessment the organisation that I am involved in and.
did give feedback to that assessment
thank you very much, and if we can turn to matters for decision first we have Housing Councillor Dixon, the only item for decision is a recommendation in paragraph 2 around one of the state's recycling programme and the test projects that were running out very good, thank you are there any comments or questions on that, if not is that agreed?
thanks very much next is Environment Councillor Gasser yeah, thank you, so the first paper 23 3 9 6, was a report from the Lead Local Flood Authority and gave some recommendations about some measures that we should put in place to support an area which is very vulnerable to flooding that was supported unanimously then we had a paper on multiple dog walking licensing scheme.
and that was something that had been considered earlier in the year it had gone out to consultation, we work closely with the dogwalkers and that was supported unanimously, as amended. One word amendment
next paper, 23 3 9 8, was the outcome of the consultation on holding a parkrun in Battersea Park.
broadly, there was a majority in support of Parkrun, although there are some worries which we have taken on board, and we do everything we can to make sure part run runs very, very smoothly, and so that was supported with six votes for two against.
then we came to a paper on increasing the fees for free fly, tipping and litter, because this is something that all councillors get lots of complaints about.
so we supported that unanimously, and then the final paper at 23 400 was on the annual charges and that was supported unanimously,
thank you very much, I don't know if there's any comments or questions on any of those papers, if not they supported.
agreed thanks so much, and now we're looking at the grant sub-committee,
Councillor Akinola, thank you, the Grant committee considered applications to the ones that are fringe 2024 next year very exciting.
I am really pleased that all recommended applications were accepted and looking forward to attending it, and because I have to leave for the next set of reports, I just would like to say that the cost of living, the council's cost of living response paper paper number 23 4 07 really pleased that this has come to that came to Council and a big thanks again to all of the commissioners that took part in making and writing a very unbiased and very fair report on things that we can do to support our our residents moving forward,
absolutely would would second that thanks and just before you leave to also extend the thanks to you for the excellent work voluntary sector needs assessment, but also that cost of living commission and how the two things are going to work together, so thanks very much and see you later.
having said that
are we happy to support the grant sub-committee,
agreed thanks so much so if it's OK, we'll move on to the final item, which is around finance Councillor Island.
thank you at various papers, including the cost of living Commission final report and the Council's response to the cost of living crisis. The Committee noted the funding to the cost of living fund one and a half million pounds approved last week, then we followed on by a paper about the work of the voluntary sector needs analysis for approval and noting and then we discussed various papers including including the asset management strategy, the council tax reduction scheme, where the Council has revised its reduction scheme to improve support to residents targeted better and we think another 3,000 financially vulnerable households in the borough will be eligible for the scheme and there were various papers noting the good performance on the Treasury Management review and the infrastructure funding statement followed by approval to write off irrecoverable debts over 25,000 pounds and a paper about budget variations and the acquisition possible acquisition of a strategic property in Round Street
thanks very, very much any comments or questions for Councillor Ireland on those.
so are we able to support those proposals?
thank you very much, that concludes this meeting of the Executive good evening.
